[MY; 2019] JB Foodie Trip 2

Johor Bahru Food Trip version 2!

I really have been travelling JB so often right now that I think I will lots of JB foodie posts for this year?

If you missed the previous food collection - [MY] JB Foodie Trip

Chicken Claypot Rice @ 新山第一家世纪砂煲鸡饭专卖店

It was my second time visiting this place, liked the chicken claypot rice the best. Though the service or hygiene wasn't top notch, but simple food make me happy! Beware: slightly long waiting time - 30mins or more during peak hours!

Lok Lok @ Random Stalls

Lok Lok is the best supper food in JB! It's everywhere and the price ranges from MYR 1-3 (depends on the base price per stick). Loved the deep fried-ness of the vegetables the most - healthy yet unhealthy!

Bak Kut Teh @ 顺顺兴肉骨茶

It is one of the more popular food options near KSL. I would say it is average, not the best Bak Kut Teh you can have! But liked the DIY options - to add more meat, add more mushrooms or more beancurd etc!

Dim Sum @ 点心意饮茶阁 Little by Little

Google review gave a high rating above 4 stars - so decided to try out this quite new dim sum place. Was surprised with the no crowd (but to be fair it was located at a rather ulu place), and they have more staff then customers hahaha. Guess this was the sign that reviews will not be accurate.

The dim sum were rather average - unless you're staying nearby and craving for dim sum and feel lazy to travel too far for one. Otherwise, really don't bother. Oh well, there was a particular dish - fish skin porridge, it was delicious that we had a second bowl (which inspired us to DIY at home).

Bubble Tea @ Sunnycha

There so much bubble tea stores in JB - another bubble craze after an decade! Settled to this cute named bubble tea store and surprisingly it was good!

Isaac Toast & Coffee

The hyped toast from Korea is available in JB too! I loved the toast way back in Seoul, JB ones were nice but just lacking of something which I can describe!

Kinsahi Japanese Restaurant

Attracted by the advertisements in the mall, and decided to pop-by for a Japanese dinner! Slightly average meal!

Kam Long Curry Fish Head

Everyone is telling me how good is the curry fish head, so I decided to try it this round! The curry was rather watery, spicy level was fine, and the fish meat portion were abit small for medium size. The price was cheap and reasonable? But it will not be under my favourite list - not a fan of watery curry.
