[AU; 2024] Short trip to Brisbane & Gold Coast
G'day - Back with my Australia series sharing my trip in Brisbane & Gold Coast!
To kick start the post...
Accommodation
I stayed in a amazing airbnb - Penthouse at one of the tallest buildings in Brisbane!

Huge 4 Bedroom Sub Penthouse|Rare Ocean Views

The stay includes complimentary wine and candies:

Very model house vibe:

There are 3 washrooms - two ensuite and one common, this is the common washroom:

Just wanted to show how amazing the view is... this is how it looks like in the morning:

and this is sunset:

I would totally want to return back if I'm traveling with a big group!
Foodies in Brisbane
1. Massimo Restaurant & Bar
Was ending the day at QUT and wanted to try the ferry service to the dinner place, sunset was so amazing at QUT:

Previously the ferry ride was free, but now you have to pay a nominal fee:

This was the dinner:

Massimo Restaurant & Bar
The portion was huge - I was very hungry and I finished the whole plate. Definitely more for sharing. I would say that it was delicious, the noodles were a little softer than what I usually have. But decent enough with good vibes for a group dinner.
2. Yolk
The cafe was a little far from where we are staying, so it is ubereats!
Yolk
The breakfast was delicious - highly recommended either order via uber or go down to the physical store!
3. The Westin Brisbane's Restaurant
I had a few meals at The Westin due to work, and their food was relatively good compared to other hotel food:

They are located right in the middle of Queen's shopping street so you will not miss it out. I would say the food was good and the price was not super expensive despite the good location. Just that they were a little understaffed that we had to wait for a long while before ordering.
Foodie in Gold Coast
My third time to Gold Coast and probably the shortest stay where I was there for just 5-6 hours! Managed to find some time to escape to the nearest beach before heading back to the Brisbane city. Featuring Burleigh Beach!

And why specifically this beach - distance did play a part but we were told by the locals that the beach has this very famous ice cream stall. We were very curious... and found out it was Ben & Jerry's... haha

Ben & Jerry's
This marks the end of my short Queensland / Brisbane trip :)
