[ID; 2018] Batam Getaway

Thinking of making a short gateway to Batam?

Accommodation?

ESKA Hotel was my first choice when I googled for some budget yet good looking hotels in Batam!

The price was a steal! & it also comes with a nice peaceful view!

Oh and not forgetting the pretty fairy lights at their rooftop restaurant! An excellent place for instagram photos definitely!

The breakfast provided was just some simple snacks, not too bad.

Shop & Eat?

Best thing about Eska Hotel, they have weekend free shuttle buses running to Batam Centre & Nagoya Hill!

Since Nagoya Hill claimed to be the biggest mall in Batam, we definitely need to go over and take a look!

Shop until drop! But I feel the variety of items can't beat BKK. There were some shops that were super nice to splurge on, but some were just meh.

What was really nice of the mall was the long stretch of food and draw the foodie attention.

Another plus point for Eska Hotel, there was a shopping mall just opposite - Kepri Mall! There was a huge Carrefour over there (great for last min shopping)!

Had some food in one of the local restuarant in the mall, it was cheap & good!

Kudos to Eska Hotel staff for the impromptu service to drive us to Batam Centre to catch the ferry (we did not register beforehand but they allowed us to board the bus when the extra bus was activated)! So thankful to book Eska Hotel shuttle bus & location which saved me so much trouble on the itinerary planning for this short trip! (;
