1. Houbi Train Station > Chiayi Train Station > Sunna's B&B

Alighted at Chiayi Train Station and took a short walk to the B&B I booked.
Sunna's B&B 不在山坡上, https://www.facebook.com/Lanjing363
Sunna was quite a friendly owner. Way before my trip, when she knew I am a solo female traveler, she told me to take care myself and contact her if needed. So I was really anticipating to meet her! And in person, she was exactly the same as virtual. She suggested places for me and helped out on my laundry. There are several hostel around Chiayi City... but I decided to get myself a room so that I can comfortably enjoy a night with a huge bed

2. Sunna's B&B > Wenhua Road Night Market > Sunna's B&B
Sunna also felt that it was abit late to explore the city, so she recommended me to walk down the street to the famous night market for a nice dinner.

I don't think I carried a map with me, so I secretly followed a group of students which I overheard they are going to the night market.

The night market wasn't really big. But definitely not tourist type of night market, more localised. I enjoyed walking along the two sides of the night market, and trying my best to avoid the traffic.

Decided to have some nice fresh fruit juice and I got served by 2 pretty Taiwanese who suspected I am not a local.

^^Tomato with Yakult

Then I headed to the famous Chicken Rice in the night market - 郭家火雞肉飯!

Although the photo don't seems to be that appetizing, but the chicken definitely went well with the rice!

After dinner, I wanted to head to the ice shaved stall near the B&B, but it had quite a queue and I decided to give it a skip. So headed back and had some time with myself. After traveling for 9days, it was the first time I had some good quality time with the bed; like just lying on the bed doing nothing etc. Totally relaxing!

DAY10
3. Sunna's B&B > Chiayi Park > Chiayi City Historical Relic Museum > Chiayi Park Sun-Shooting Tower
Woke up early in the morning and waited for the breakfast by Sunna and her friend. From the Oolong tea to the sandwich and salad, were handmade with love from them.(They bake their own bread!) I don't know why but they kept harping that the vegetables were organic. It was really very delicious!

Sunna suggested me to head to Chiayi Park, I walked out the B&B around 500m, Sunna started chasing and shouting at me... I thought I dropped something important. She calmly told me I can take an en-route to the traditional market.

TIP: If a Taiwanese recommends you a place, do must sure you visit it. They will check with you how was the place and be really disappointed if you don't visit.
So I "risk" my life walking through the traditional market. So many scooters squeezing through the crowd. I thought I was "playing doucheball".

Finally with some help of googlemap, I reached Chiayi Park!
嘉義公園 Chiayi Park, http://www.chiayi.gov.tw/web/build/section.asp?i_id=23&sub_id=24&type=garden&i_belong=2
This park was built when Taiwan was under Japan rule, and if I did not read wrongly, only Japanese could enter the park during that time.

The park was rather huge! And consist of 3 famous attraction: Confucius Temple, Historical Relic Museum and Sun-Shooting Tower

Confucius Temple is the red building located around the centre of the park.

Walk further down....

You will get to see the Historical Relic Museum at the right hand side!
They have very interesting exhibition on Taiwan history and there was a small portion mentioning Singapore's history. In the museum I found some paper and pens to pin down some wishes to hang near to the gate of the museum.

Not far away... you will get to see the Sun-Shooting Tower!
But they required you to purchase a NT$50 entrance fee to the rooftop. Which I did not purchase. HAHAHA

4. Chiayi Park Sun-Shooting Tower > 三禾鸡肉饭 > Hinoki Village > Alishan Forest Railway Chiayi Garage > Sunna's B&B
三禾鸡肉饭, www.turkey.org.tw/
Sunna recommended me this Chicken Rice, where she claimed is her personal favourite. This shop is just a stone-away from the Chiayi Park and I have to say the bowl of goodness was much better than the 郭家火雞肉飯 I had at the night market the previous night.

I wanted to stop by a Museum but I cant find the entrance, so I decided to head to Hinoki Village instead.
檜意森活村園區 Hinoki Village, www.hinokivillage.com.tw/
Hinoki Village is a good place for photo shoot! I love their creativity and artistic atmosphere! How I wish I could spend my whole day over there roaming around the Japanese wooden houses!

Last stop was Chiayi Garage.

There were many trains and railways for you to take photos with!
Definitely a good place for train lovers!

Walked back to Sunna's B&B; Sunna and her friend was really surprised that I came back within 3-4hours and managed to cover all the places they recommended by foot! Maybe the sun was really scorching so I quicken my pace. HAHAHA or just typical Singaporean walking speed. Anyway Sunna promised to bring me out the next time I visit Chiayi, which I really do hope so, cause Chiayi was quite a tourist-free place and rather peaceful, I like this city quite a lot!
