[US; 2019] 8 Philadelphia's Foodies

Back in USA for the second time (just within a couple of months), and stayed here for a week! So back with more foodies to share!

1. Shake Shack

I didn't try the Shake Shack in Singapore or anywhere else, so I thought it will be good to try it at USA. There were a wide range of burgers to choose on, I remember you can customise somehow. Taste wise, just your average burger. Sorry shack. Maybe I will try the milk shake next time!

2. Spice 28

Everyone was sharing with me how nice is Spice 28 - serving really great Asian-Chinese food. I had lots of expectations on the food and it ended up, a huge bowl of slightly soggy Zha Jiang Mian. Disappointing, BUT I have to say their fried food was definitely up to the mark. Wrong choice of food made.

3. Double Knot

I have to mention this first - this place was awesome. The atmosphere, the people, the food; nothing to pick on. It is a fusion Japanese restaurant, and it was kinda hidden in the sense that we had to go underground and pass through like many twist & bends (exaggerating here) to reach our table.

We even had a sparkling mochi dessert!
Will want to be there again!

4. Maggiano's Little Italy

I had Maggiano twice in my stay at Philly! The portions were huge and the taste was nice! Enjoyed the dinner over there!

5. Pho Xe Lua Viet Thai Restaurant

Pho Xe Lua Viet Thai Restauranthttps://www.phoxeluaphilly.com/;
907 Race St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, United States
It was a fusion of bits of Chinese, Vietnamese & Thai? They serves very generous portion of noodles and the noodles were springy chewy!

6. Pho Street

Pho Streethttp://www.phostreet.com/;
1230 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, United States
As their soup contains beef, I had no choice but to order the dry version. And surprisingly, it was so good! The best pho I ever had, even better than the ones I had in Vietnam!

Will be back again too!

7. Dim Sum Garden

I guess it is never a good idea to have Chinese cuisine outside of Asia even if they have lot of crowd. Just average dim sum - they served our prawn egg fried rice too late and they gave us a small discount off the bill.

8. Sabrina's Cafe & Spencer's Too

Sabrina's Cafe & Spencer's Toohttps://www.sabrinascafe.com/;
1804 Callowhill St, Philadelphia, PA 19130, United States
A local recommended us this cafe for brunch, perhaps I was in a rush to finish the meal, I found it average but the serving was generous! A pretty old school cafe, will be a nice place to chill and do some catching up with friends.

Hope you will enjoy Philly's food as much as I did! If you have any recommendations, just drop me a comment below! (;
