[TW; 2013] Living in Taiwan Series | Xinzhuang 新莊

Xinzhuang is really a very under-rated place in New Taipei City.. but there are so much nice foods over there! And with the metro station located within Xinzhuang, it is super convenient to roam around!

1. 宜品 幸福店

^^干拌面 dry noodles

^^Fish balls, dumplings soup

Chance upon this stall while looking for things to eat. The dry noodles was really good; the whole of noodles only consisted spring onions and noodles, it may sound plain but the noodles was surprisingly delicious! I miss the noodles!

3. 金三峽牛角 Jin San Xia

Their Croissants are quite famous, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered the Croissant with Mochi and Cranberry fillings, the Croissant became very chewy due to the Mochi and sweet due to the Cranberry. Very interesting mixture! Their other breads were also very nice and we had their breads for dinner.

4. 新莊廟街 Xinzhuang Temple Street

Exit at the metro station EXIT2.

This temple street night market is so underrated. This is a nice place to do your clothes shopping cause (1) there are no crowds, (2) most of the common night market clothings shop brands are here too. So why squeeze in the congested Shilin Night Market when you can get things done slowly over there?

A MUST TRY food in the temple street! It was really very delicious, I'm really bad in describing the food, but really it was really very nice. (failed attempt to describe the taste). Although I live somewhere within the Xinzhuang district but not near this night market, so sometimes I will travel down just to get this roll of goodness!

B)阿嬤的古早味

Ordered the 雞肉飯便當 Chicken with rice bento set for NT$50. Not that bad... it taste like grandma's cooking; some traditional taste not to be missed!
