[KR; 2025] Day 7 - Busan | Haedong Yonggungsa Temple \ Haeundae Blueline
Day 7
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

We woke up slightly late hence we took an uber to from our hotel to temple - which was a good decision as the temple is located uphill (saved our leg power).

This temple is popular for its sea view:

We spent some time exploring the temple, clocking all the possible steps:

Will be good to prepare a few coins so that you can drop them along the way into the donation boxes.
It was really nice to see the temple from the top with the sea view as background:

We wander off to another side of the temple and stacked our stones:

Right at the entrance / exit of the temple gate, there were plenty stores selling street food, we grabbed a few for our late breakfast. First we got a yummy busan fishcake and hotteok from this store:

Next we went to a slightly hipster store to get corndogs:

I wouldn't say the food there were overpriced, which was surprising for such a popular tourist spot. If you're heading there to start off your day, it will be a great place for some light breakfast.
We walked out the temple compound to the nearest bus stop, and saw that Skyline Luge Busan was right opposite the road - we didn't get Busan Pass so we had to give this a miss:

This bus stop was very tourist friendly with the bus timings:

Songjeong Station
Took the bus to somewhere near Songjeong Station and used Naver map to find some good place for lunch. And this place popped up:

The restaurant was very spacious and clean.

It came with this big bowl of noodles that were 31 cm long:

We also ordered some pancakes to go with it:

The broth was a little peppery for me, but the noodles were well cooked. Would recommend if you're craving for seafood as the portion was rather huge. They had a few outlets around Busan so you can pick whichever that is closer to you.
After a hearty meal, we walked over to Songjeong Station, which was the last stop for the Haeundae Blueline.

We intentionally took the bus to Songjeong Station as we wanted to take the Blueline to Haeundae (via Mipo Station). So instead of a loop Mipo > Songjeong > Mipo; we were only doing an "one-way" Songjeong > Mipo to save some time.
There was a small park where you can take some photos:

This was the small station to buy the tickets:

We bought the tickets that enable us to make unlimited stops - which we regretted. It will be nice to make just one stop in the midway and you walk the rest of the route.
There was some time before the train departs, so we headed over to the Songjeong beach! It was clean and nice!

Ready on the Haeundae Blueline!

Sea views out from the train:

Cheongsapo Daritdol Skywalk
The first stop we made:

Cheongsapo Daritdol Skywalk 청사포 다릿돌전망대
It was quite a small attraction that you can complete it in 5-10 mins, but we paced ourselves to just enjoy the view while waiting for the next train.

The boardwalk design was quite nice to have the transparent flooring and the wooden flooring so those who are afraid of heights have a choice.
Hopped on the train to the next stop:

Cheongsapo Station
This station is famous for Korean version of Slam Dunk level crossing - there were plenty people taking photo - I just took a photo that doesn't look like anything:

The area has many cafes and cute shops:

Also a twin lighthouse - white & red:

The area had quite a nice wide view:

Back on the train again, and train view:

We gave this Haewol Observatory stop a miss as it seems small. If we're walking along the deck I probably will check it out:

Mipo Station
Finally the last stop for the ride - and we were welcomed with very nice views walking toward Haeundae Beach direction:

The famous beach in Busan:

Haeundae Beach 해운대해수욕장
The weather was perfect for a beach day!

We spent some time on the beach and headed to this nearby hotel which has a series of Doraemon displays:

Paradise Hotel Busan 파라다이스 호텔 부산

If you're a fan of Doraemon - do check if the hotel website if the photo spot area is still available!
Haeundae Beach's main path to the subway station was filled with shops and food:

We checked out one of the food alley which was like some night market:

It was hard not to get tempted, so we got a cup of fried chicken:

Head back to the route to the subway station, and caught the sunset right outside Daiso:

Centum City
Back to the subway station where we were staying, and I wanted to try this place for dinner since we arrived Busan:

It was quite a famous chain store that sells pork rice soup - but less crowded at dinner time as it was located in an office area:
