[KR; 2025] Day 8 - Busan | Huinnyeoul Culture Village \ Gamcheon Culture Village \ Bupyeong Kkangtong Market \ Gukje Market \ Gwangbok-ro Fashion Street \ BIFF

Day 8

Woke up early in the morning to catch the sunrise from our hotel window - it looks so surreal like a magic urban castle:

Huinnyeoul Culture Village

There was a bus near our hotel that brings us directly to the culture village!
Huinnyeoul Culture Village 흰여울문화마을
It was a very artist, cool vibe village, with very narrow alleys:

There were maps scattered around the village to help you navigate around the place:

We were hungry and decided to settle down at this burger shop for brunch:
Burger Yo Busan 버거요 부산본점
We saw they were featured on some netflix show. That was the selling point for us. The ahjussi owner was very friendly and welcomed us with his limited English, and told us that we need to go up to the top floor to take photos. It was rare for an eatery not introducing their menu but their photo spot.

Indeed, it was beautiful:

The ahjussi owner asked where we were from and how long were we staying in Busan. When we told him we were from Singapore but on a long travel from Okinawa > Busan > Hanoi - he was pleasantly surprised. Out of nowhere he threw words like "I love Singapore"; so being competitive I said "We love Korea too!".

Back to the food - it was seafood themed burgers. We got the snow crab and salmon burgers which were superb. Everything was perfect - food, view and people.

We explored the village after a hearty lunch and every shop had a good view of the sea:

Hence justified another photo booth session:

We walked toward the sea front, so pretty.

And there were plenty of gift shops along the way.

We got ourselves a bag of gifts to distribute:

Gamcheon Culture Village

Busan will probably feels incomplete if you didn't check-in this Little Prince place. We took bus over, and had to transfer buses, was rather easy to get there.

We queued for 20 minutes to get a photo with this famous statue:

There was also a new little prince statue at the top of the Gamnae Byeolmaru Sports Center - which was less crowded:

Every corner was postcard worthy:

Bupyeong Kkangtong Market

Took a feeder bus down to this market:
Bupyeong Kkangtong Market 부평깡통시장
It was quite a modernise traditional market - too bad we had one more stop at Hanoi so we cannot pack food back:

There was a bit of touting (they hired foreigners to drive sales) when they noticed that you're a foreigner.

Gukje Market

Bupyeong Kkangtong Market and Gukje Market was just a street apart.
This market feels a little more lifestyle goods:

With plenty of clothes which I wasn't sure were they brand new or preloved items:

Something I was looking forward in the market was street food!

Yummy simple food - tteokbokki and fishcakes + gimbap

Gwangbok-ro Fashion Street

We exited the market area and walked over to this shopping district. It was less than 5 minutes walk.
Gwangbok-ro Fashion Street 광복로패션거

You can shop until drop here - it has practically everything every store you need in Korea.

BIFF Street

We moved over to BIFF street / square - which was a bustling area featuring handprints of famous Korean actors / actress, and street food (again)!

Hotteok is famous over there - there were many stores running business side by side:

We also tried the 100won cheese bread:

Busan Tower

We were planning to head back to our hotel, but somehow we found an escalator on the way and got transported to Busan Tower. This was the location to take the escalator (to save some leg power) - look out for the sign to Yongdusan Park :

It was quite pretty at night - there were many light displays:
Busan Tower 다이아몬드타워 (부산타워)
It was a great night out just watching the tower and the display lights!

Back to Centum City

We got fried chicken for dinner - some random fried chicken chain near to the hotel.
Mom’s Touch Chicken & Burger 맘스터치 벡스코점
They closes at 10pm and we ordered very late into 9pm, and they still accommodate our orders :>
