Day 7
Getting Brunch!
We took a ride to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place A9 which costed NT$185 for a 18 minutes ride.

I did left a review on the google map but didn't get a response from the owner. Review as follows:
We were really looking forward to this restaurant after a recommendation from a local friend, but it turned out to be an average experience.
The food was average at best - abalone in the braised pork rice was tough, and the fried rice was a little oily. The mouth-watering chicken, which wasn’t even a recommended dish, ended up being the only one that stood out.
What really put us off was the payment experience. We paid cash at the counter, and the cashier did not give us our change - she simply said “這樣就好了 (That is all set)” and handed over the receipt. If they didn’t have small cash change, they should have informed customers beforehand - would have chosen to pay by card to avoid any misunderstanding. It was inappropriate to assume they can keep the cash change as their tips.
I would only recommend IF you don't have other food options in A9.
Visiting 101!
I booked the Taipei 101 observatory tickets during lunch on klook and choose the next available timing at 3pm. We arrived too early so we tried our luck to see if we could enter close to an hour earlier, and the counter staff were happy to issue an earlier ticket for us.
It was actually my first time visiting 101 observatory after visiting Taipei for more than 10 times. There were some collaboration exhibition happening:
And they had in season flowers on display:
Surprisingly the gift shop was really nice to shop - and it was tax free!

The proper route was to take the stairs down to level 88 and exit from there. As the wheelchair was unable to access level 88, we get to take the lift directly from level 89.

I managed to spin this after not able to get coins in my previous trip!
It was closed to tea break, so we decided to head over to Din Tai Feng - a small tip here, check the Din Tai Feng queue ticket before heading to the 101 observatory. The queue was roughly 120 minutes for a Friday afternoon, so we got the tickets before heading up to the observatory.
Everything was so yummy and delicious as usual, and the service was great, can't be back to have Din Tai Feng again in 101! It's my favourite Din Tai Feng outlet thus far!

We took a ride back to Ximending for NT$215, it was 20 minutes journey.
I met up with a Taiwanese friend for dinner, and we had something local and simple:
