[HK; 2015] Australia Dairy Company | Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree | Festival Walk | One Dim Sum

DAY 4

Jordan MTR [Australia Dairy Company 澳洲牛奶公司] > Tai Po Market MTR [Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree 林村許願樹] > Kowloon Tong MTR [Festival Walk 又一城] > Prince Edward MTR [One Dim Sum 一點心]

1.  Jordan MTR [Australia Dairy Company 澳洲牛奶公司]

My favourite day out of the 5 days in Hong Kong, cause the whole day was so impromptu and finally we got out of the modern busy city to the suburbs!

Had our breakfast at the famous Australia Dairy Company, the queue was horrible that I wanted to give up so badly. We queued for 30mins.

47 Parkes St, Jordan
Finally got in and tada the menu, Breakfast Set please.
The food wasn't disappointing, still reasonable for me to convince myself to queue another 30mins next time.

2. Jordan MTR > Tai Po Market MTR [Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree 林村許願樹]

This Wishing Tree was the top place I wanted to go in Hong Kong. Read some guides and they mentioned to travel to Tai Po Market MTR and transfer to a bus.

There were signs after we exited the MTR, pretty easy to locate the bus stop for Bus 64k!

It was like a 20minutes ride, and I really enjoyed the bus ride as I got to see the more friendlier side of Hong Kong. No bustling city life, just really normal localized life. We got off the bus at Fong Ma Po 放馬莆, the bus do have LED boards that announce the bus stops' name, everything was easy.

Alighted the bus stop and crossed the road to this 林村, maybe a village where the surname "Lin" lived.

At the side of the entrance you will get to see the original famous Orange Tree. The tree currently in recovery status.

Walked further down and turned into this gate.

TADA the artificial Wishing (Orange) Tree is behind me!!!

To make a wish was really simple, grab an artificial orange from the counter next to the tree.

Next step, just write your wishes or tick the list on the wishing placard.

Finally, throw your orange up the tree! (I tried a 3-4 times before it manage to hook on the branch)

It was rather fun laughing on how hilarious the orange did not manage to hook on the branch. Love that place so much. And of course wish that all my wishes will come true. Pretty please.

3. Tai Po Market MTR > Kowloon Tong MTR [Festival Walk 又一城]

Although Hong Kong is rather big and actually we can travel out of Hong Kong (to Macau or China) within that 5 days, but we were lazy to move too much. However we were running out of places to go. So we decided to catch a movie in Hong Kong. (There goes our impromptu again.)

The MTR in the suburbs were so like Taiwan's Train Station. So in love with such pretty vintage village feel places.

We alighted at Kowloon Tong Station and walked over to Festival Walk 又一城.

We bought the movie tickets from the cinema, AMC. It was really expensive to catch a movie in Hong Kong. ):

As the movie was only starting at one hour's time, we decided to have late lunch. The shopping has a food court with all the famous restaurant outlets. And I tried the roasted goose with some pork, OMG, roasted goose was heaven.

4. Kowloon Tong MTR > Prince Edward MTR [One Dim Sum 一點心]

After the movie, we decided to head for some dim sum, and One Dim Sum came across our mind.
One Dim Sum 一點心, Prince Edward MTR Exit A;
Shop 1 & 2, G/F, Kenwood Mansion, 15 Playing Field Road, Prince Edward

The queue was short but we went there rather late, so quite a few dim sums were not available. I think their dim sums were fine, not to the extend of fantastic. We paid like HKD$90, which was reasonable for the varieties we ate.

And this marks the end of my favourite Day 4!
