[HK; 2015] Causeway Bay | Tin Hau | Mongkok

DAY 3

Small Potato Ice Creamery]

Headed to Causeway Bay MTR for breakfast at EXpresso Cafe! Had to walk towards Excelsior Hotel after the exit.

And the cafe is right at the lobby of the hotel.

They sells Lord Stow's famous Portuguese egg tarts over there. I had tried the egg tarts many years back at Macau, and taste wise tasted like the ones selling over at Macau. But definitely not the price.

We walked back to the MTR station and headed for shopping. Good exercise after breakfast, heh.
H&M, Forever21, Causeway Bay MTR Exit F1
H&M, Forever21 and all kinds of Korean cosmetic brands. The most fun about shopping is the changing room, grabbed clothes in and out just to get the clothes right. But the scary part was, while I was in the curtain-like changing room over at H&M, there came a China tourist who was looking for her daughter. So she started shouting her daughter's name in the changing room area and I have no idea why she opened my curtain. :O (my jaw almost dropped on the floor, as my clothes were just on) She realised she got the wrong person, she just closed back my curtain without apologizing.

TOTALLY NO MANNERS, TSK.

The street at Exit F was super packed on Weekends, and there were roadshows and freebies. Queued for a free Yogurt which tasted meh.

Feeling abit hungry, we decided to look for the cart noodles which we saw on the guidebooks.

49 Tang Lung St, Causeway Bay
We missed the signboard, but lucky that we decided to head back and managed to see it.

I think we are rather lucky all the Hong Kongese we met during the trip were very friendly towards us. (We have heard of all kinds of hostile stories about Hong Kongese) Perhaps we are too noisy and taking too long to figure out the menu, the Hong Kongese co-sharing the table with us taught us how to order and recommended the side dishes for us. (':

The noodles tasted not that bad, so was the gravy-soup. Just that the serving was abit too small for that amount paid; I paid HKD$40 for this bowl of goodness. HKD$40 I could eat 2 meals full in Singapore.

After the half-full lunch, we headed to the newly opened LINE Store!
LINE Store, Causeway Bay MTR Exit F2;
Shop 210, 2/F Hysan Place
So kawaii, had alots of fun taking photos with the figurines! The items in the store were rather expensive, I think the most worth to buy item is the LINE t-shirts.

YAY to a photo with Brown and Cony!

Back to Exit F2 and headed to Jardine's Crescent.
Jardine's Crescent, Causeway Bay MTR Exit F1
Narrow street. I think it was slightly better than Ladies Market or Temple Street. The clothes/bags over there have over variety although unsure whether is it an inspired type of design.

We decided to head to the Hong Kong's famous activity which is near Causeway Bay MTR - Villain Hitting!
Villain Hitting 鹅颈桥打小人, Causeway Bay MTR Exit B;
Canal Road, Hong Kong
It is located under a bridge, a distance from the MTR exit, but still walkable distance. Rather interesting to witness the old lady hitting the Paper Figurine using a shoe. Unsure whether it is ethical to do so, but if someone owes me $1million, perhaps I will join the long queue too.

We started roaming around the streets at Causeway Bay, and we decided to head for some desserts!
Small Potato Ice Creamery, Causeway Bay MTR F1
G/F, 28-30 Haven Street, Causeway Bay
It was quite a distance away from the MTR exit. Some people told us the shop is hard to locate, but we managed to do so without getting lost!

First time trying Sweet Potato ice cream and it was acceptable to me. Not too sweet and love the crunchy biscuits.

2. Causeway Bay MTR > Tin Hau MTR [Auntie Sweet 甜姨姨私房甜品, Café de Coral 大家樂]

 The Causeway Bay MTR is too far to walk back and we do not know what bus to take to Tin Hau MTR. So we walked to our next dessert stop. It was a 20mins walk, with lots of things to see, like a huge Hong Kong Central Library etc. Maybe we were walking on the streets as if we lived in Hong Kong for many years, even tourists asked us for directions. (And this was not the first time, we had directions queries from locals and/or tourists everyday LOL)

Auntie Sweet 甜姨姨私房甜品, Tin Hau MTR Exit A2;
13 Tsing Fung St, Hong Kong
It is famous for the Durian Toufu! The durian and the pudding look-alike blended well enough, definitely a must-try for durian lovers! And for Hong Kong drama lovers, the shop was featured in a Hong Kong drama scene!

Abit hungry after having so much desserts, we stepped in Café de Coral 大家樂 for dinner, which was recommended by my boss. (My boss was talking about how much he loves Hong Kong's 大家樂 and praising how successful the business model was in the meeting that probed me wanna try)

Wide range of food to choose, and the price was reasonable, taste wise average. I finally understood why my boss said it was a successful business model; the wide range of food which cater to suit all ages. I could see 3 generations families, sitting down together and all enjoying their food.

3. Tin Hau MTR > Mongkok MTR [Lang Ham Place 朗豪坊]

The night was still early, so we headed to Langham Place, a shopping suggestion by my colleague.
朗豪坊 Langham Place, Mongkok MTR Exit C3;
8 Argyle Street, Mongkok;

A shopping centre with lots of big brands, and as usual H&M is one of them. Just a tip, H&M items are much cheaper compared to Singapore. So would really advice to visit their H&M and shop.

Decided to head on the street after browsing through some of the shops in Langham Place. And there was a protest on the street, mini one though.

And this marks the end of our Day 3 in Hong Kong.
