[MY; 2022] Penang Day 3 | Food, Kek Lok Si, George Town & Night Market

Day 3

Brunch: New World Park Food City

New World Park Food City
Jalan Burma, George Town, 10050 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

We found this place while roaming around near our hotel and I would say they have quite a wide spread of food available!

I would say the food was reasonable priced (of course expensive compared to the coffee shops or stalls on the street). Everything was rather clean over there - so if you've concerns about eating on the streets, probably this food city will suit you better! Some hits and some misses, but overall was decent.

Sightseeing: Kek Lok Si Temple

Kek Lok Si Temple
Kek Lok Si Temple, Jln Balik Pulau, 11500 Air Itam, Penang, Malaysia

We took a grab from the city to Kek Lok Si and it was very convenient. It was quite a grand place, plenty of steps, so if you're coming with children or seniors, do take note of it.

We spent around an hour at the main area before taking a lift up to the goddess of mercy. You will need to pay to take the lift.

Sightseeing & Shop: George Town

You cannot miss out taking photos at George Town art murals - the most famous bicycle!

Giant Yu Yee Oil's location: Weng Seng Heng Medical Hall Sdn. Bhd.
221, Lebuh Pantai, George Town, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

And not forgetting shopping for snacks & gifts:

Tea Break: Utoo Boho Cafe

Utoo Boho Cafe
156, Lebuh Victoria, George Town, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

We found this cafe while passing by and it was so pretty place!

The food & drinks were pretty too and tasted good. Highly recommended to this place if you need a break and stay cool with pretty vibes!

Sightseeing: Chew Jetty

Chew Jetty
Chew Jetty, 45, Pengkalan Weld, George Town, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
There are several surname/clan jetty around Penang and Chew Jetty is one of the more popular among all. There are so much to shop and food while strolling to the end of the Jetty.

Amazing view at the end of the jetty :)

Dinner: Macallum Street Night Market

Macallum Street Night Market
Lintang Macallum 1, Pengkalan Weld, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
This is one of the local street night market and it only opens on Monday. Located within the local housing, you will be able to experience the more local vibes and a wide variety of food. Do note that most of the stalls doesn't have dine in tables, so takeaway will be preferred.
We spent around RM30-40 for dinner and bought so much food! I would highly recommend a satay stall somewhere in the middle of the food street - it was so delicious even when it turned a little cold. Overall recommended place :)

That's all for Day 3 of Penang and last day next!
