[US; 2024] Foodies in Los Angeles
Part 2 to my LA trip - foodies edition!
The Original Pantry Cafe
A cafe that I noted on the uber to the hotel, and realised it was a famous casual diner. It has been operating since 1924, popular for its breakfast dishes! There was a short queue - waited for 15-20 minutes, weather was good so it was rather pleasant wait. The Original Pantry Cafe
The interior was very very old school - but still gives the cozy vibes!
Food!
The food also tasted quite old school, definitely not modern seasonings. Every dish was delicious and the only item that was outstanding for me was the corn... I really liked the canned sweet corns!
I would recommend this place!
The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen
Located at Universal Citywalk Hollywood - it was previously a hardrock cafe!
We had some buffet food which was rather average - but what surprised us was the milkshake with cake toppings! The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen
I tried the vanilla cake... it was superb sweet, even the milkshake was sweet. All I could say - I definitely have lower tolerance to sweetness.
You can definitely find better food out in the citywalk, but if you want something sweet to end of your day... maybe this can be an option XD

After a few days of hotel and western meals... we wanted asian food. And found this highly rated vietnamese food around the corner!
Asian food is always comfort food - recommend!Bottega Louie
