[AU; 2024] Melbourne | Accommodations
This will be a combined post of my 2 Melbourne trips and sharing with you the different accommodations that I have stayed!
1. Airbnb @ Pascoe Vale
It was the F1 weekend and I couldn't get a decent hotel in the city, had to stay somewhere near the airport. The issue was, I was turned down by the first uber driver as the distance was too close.

Nevertheless, it was a cozy place and I definitely would like my future home to be like this! The shared space - living room & bathroom was well maintained.
How much my giraffee loved the bed!
And how the neighbourhood looks like in the day!
One of the nearest station - which was very modern looking! And I met a nice guy stranger that moved and stood infront of me when someone strange walks pass the bus stop.
The host stayed in the same house too - and she has a cute kitty that recognised me on the way back home and followed me back.
The host was superb sweet - she stocked up her fridge so that I can have some decent breakfast, and switched on the lights at the door so I can spot the house when I return at night. I left my scarf at her house and she kept it for me until my next Melbourne trip (which was a few months later).
I really enjoyed my airbnb stay even though it wasn't the most convenient place if you want to explore the city. But the slow vibe definitely added brownie points to this place - suitable if you want to experience a more local life!
2. Ink Hotel Melbourne Southbank
Ink Hotel Melbourne Southbank
This was a last minute find as we were escaping from a dusty airbnb next door. But surprisingly, the hotel was great! The downside was it is quite a distance away from the free tram zone, so we had to walk quite a bit between places.
And the hotel has a policy that if you don't get housekeeping to clean your room - you get a free drink voucher! So it was a plus for me as I feel uncomfortable with someone entering my room (when it is in a mess hahahaha).
Overall - comfortable stay!
3. Airbnb @ Southern Cross Station
Entire rental unit in Melbourne, Australia
It was a 2 bedroom and 2 washroom unit, nothing fanciful but it was decent and clean. Loved how convenient the location was - just right opposite Southern Cross Station and within the free tram zone. Plenty of food options and supermarkets!
The host was quite responsive just the down side was there was only 1 key, we had to be quite creative how to pass the key around within the group.
Look out for my next few posts on Melbourne where I compile my 2 trips itinerary into a proper travel journey!
