[AU; 2026] Part 7 - Sydney | Foodie Day!
Australia Long Trip | Part 7 - Sydney
Day 8
It was a working day for me - but I had quite a food adventure around the city! Eat hard & work hard!
1. Sydney Fish Market
There was a big social media hype around the newly revamped fish market, so I couldn't miss that out, hence I visited there for lunch with a colleague!I wasn't confident walking over, so I took the light rail over, there were directions all over once you alight Wentworth Park - no maps needed at all, just follow the red signboards:

Definitely on my recommendation list if you don't mind the noisy atmosphere and slot machine is right next to the restaurant.

Sydney Fish Market
The new & old fish market are located right next to each other, it was confusing for me at first when I saw the same address, as I thought they would be further away.

There were quite a lot of dine in options, and we went for one of the sushi place:

The food was good, but I probably will not travel all the way to the market to get them. If only I'm staying nearby. It was quite newly opened when I was visiting there, but all the birds were geared up and ready to grab food from those who were sitting at the open spaces. Highly recommend to do dine-in.
I realised I was silly to take a light rail because the walk from the market to my hotel was just 15 minutes away. It was superb straight forward route.
2. The Star

Pulse Milk Bar
I was looking for a decent cafe around darling harbour, but I couldn't find one that I liked. And google maps brought me to The Star to have a slice of cake.
I order the honey russian cake - and it wasn't the best I had (Tasmania's one was the best), but good enough for some sugar rush!
3. Chinese Garden & Dinner
I had a dinner at chinatown area, and I didn't want to take the light rail. So I decided to try walking across the chinese garden area. And I realised, it was nicer than I thought it would be!

Dinner was a place that serves thai food:

M Thai Restaurant & Bar
The portions were huge and the flavours brought me back to Thailand!
Ended the day with a perfect note!
