[TW; 2016] PART 3 - Kenting

Itinerary: Hengchun 恆春 > Kenting Big Bay Beach 墾丁大灣海灘 > Kenting Main Street 墾丁大街

DAY TWO

• Hengchun 恆春 > Kenting Big Bay Beach 墾丁大灣海灘

Took a bus back to Kenting, and we walked to the beach right across our accommodation, google called it Big Bay Beach.

Sunset was really beautiful over there, #nofilter at all.

And I manage to take some really artistic photos for my sister! And it was a candid shot!

Unwillingly left the beach; it was getting abit dark and there were no street lights whatsoever. Dropped some stuffs at our accommodation, and walked over to the Kenting Main Street for the famous Kenting's Night Market. It was just a stone away.

It was not crowded at all as winter season was the low peak for Kenting. So we get to enjoy every single abit of the night market, and explore their food options at our slowest pace.

1. 原住民石板烤肉 BBQ Pork

Review: It was my favorite. Couple of stalls selling it, so just grab it at any of the stall you prefer. NT$100 for both the tender pork meat and the pork sausages, worth every single cent of it.

2. 海鮮貝 Cheesy Seafood

Review: I remember it was more than NT$100 for this pair of cheese seafood in a shell. It was a creative idea to mix all the seafood into a paste and bake it with cheese. The taste was fine, but I won't get it again.

3. Fried Finger Foods

Review: There are plenty of stalls out there selling fried finger foods, but this stall attracted us due to the One Piece merchandises displayed. We ordered a mix of fried chicken and pork, less than NT$100 I suppose. It was really great!

4. 脆皮湯包 Crispy Dumplings

Review: 8 dumplings for NT$70, inexpensive food. The meat fillings weren't that bad, just that please have it pipping hot. We had it cold, the dumplings' skin did not taste that nice.

5. 炸章魚 Fried Squid 

Review: This fried squid claimed to be a famous store with all the media interviews hung on the stall. It looked nice but disappointing I would say. We had it pipping hot, it was rather hard to chew and I gave up after a few bites. Not recommended.

My sister felt the night market food that we have bought may not be able to satisfy the black hole in our stomach. So we went over 7-11 and bought a bowl of Curry Rice, tidbits/snacks and etc. HAHAHA this is what happens when sister's travel together and this sister grabbing whatever food she likes cause she has me this 11 years old elder sister to foot the bill.

YES I PAID FOR HER WHOLE TRIP EXPENSES TO TAIWAN.

Back to our dinner for the night:

It was really a super filling dinner where we spent estimated NT$500, which means SGD$12/person.
