[AU; 2022] Hobart City, Tasmania - Foodie

There are so much food options in the city that you will be spoilt for choices! Here are some places I have tried after consulting google reviews!

Khaow Thai

85 Harrington St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
They serve really generous portion of Thai food, cooked upon order. The warm food did keep me happy in the cold weather :') Definitely a recommended place if you love rice and meat!

Bento Hobart City, Harrington Street

83 Harrington St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia

Located next to Khaow Tai, you will be able to find this Japanese "chain" store. The food was great and the price was reasonable. Recommended if you need some comfort asian food!

Billy's Burgers and Bar

1 Elizabeth St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
Located at Elizabeth Street Pier, you can expect having a nice burger meal with nice sea view!
Ordered a set meal which came with fries and drink! I would say be prepared to get your hands messy - the burger has lot of sauces and they start oozing out when I bit on it. But food was good that it doesn't worry me at all (washroom is available in the store).

Mako Seafood

Constitution Dock, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
There are plenty of food options at the Constitution Dock and Mako was one of the recommended stall from a friend that was at Tassie 2 weeks before me!

Ordered their classic Fish & Chips and the fish was so fresh! Recommended if you need some fried fish fix :)

Van Diemens Land Creamery, Hobart

Constitution Dock, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia

Also located at the Constitution Dock, you will find this most popular ice cream in whole Hobart city!

The menu changes everyday :)

The ice cream was so creamy and delicious - no wonder there was a queue for it! I opted to have it indoors (inside the stall) and loved the view.

Flippers Cooked Seafood

Sullivans Cove, Hobart TAS, 158 Davey St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia

Another good food located at the Constitution Dock is Flippers! I came here early in the morning to be their first customer to get the grilled salmon :)

Their salmon sells out in the middle of the day - catch them early in the morning. The fish was so good and fresh, I can have this everyday!

Mures Lower Deck Fishmongers

Victoria Dock, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia

Located just right opposite the Constitution Dock is the Victoria Dock, and of course seafood you cannot miss! Mures is a popular dinning place of locals and visitors - they have an upper deck and lower deck. Upper deck is a more of a restuarant, while lower deck is more of a causal eatery with pocket friendly prices.

There were so much seafood options that I was spoilt for choice. Ended up with a lighter seafood option - seafood chowder with one fresh oyster :)

Pot Sticker Dumpling House

3/138 Collins St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
The pot sticker means pan fried dumplings and this stall seems to be rather popular in Hobart. I didn't had the pot stickers, but had some wanton in chilli. It was so spicy that I cried. But the iced sour plum drink was so refreshing that I loved it much.

Jackman & McRoss

4 Victoria St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
A recommended cafe from a friend living in Tassie, and they had a very wide spread of pastries and drinks!

As usual, ordered a cup of hot chocolate & tried their warm muffins which was great!

Hometown Secret 家乡味

It was a rainy late night and most of the food stalls were closed - came across this Malaysia food stall, without hesitation, just popped in!
181 Liverpool St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
I ordered this curry noodles which was rather salty (there was the noodles black sauce + curry) - other than that the portion was generous and chicken was nice with the curry! I finished the whole bowl by the way ;)

Still Thai

112 Elizabeth St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
Located near to the UTAS Hobart Apartments, food near this area is relatively more hip and trendy! Ordered a good portion of meat with vegetables and it was so comfort food :) Another good thai food place in the city!

This marks the end of my Tasmania trip - hopefully more opportunities to travel Tassie (and out of the hobart city in the future!)
