[AU; 2022] Sydney City's Foodies

Writing food content is always my favourite as I self-claim to be a very professional food hunter using google reviews. I love to discover local food that was not in those usual food guides. So if you're going Sydney soon, remember to bookmark these places!

Breakfast

The Messenger Cafe

I'm not a breakfast person; but I was so hungry that morning that I decided to grab a bite and found this on google map using the keyword "hot chocolate".

A small cafe that serves breakfast for the nearby offices.

Shop 1/60 Union St, Pyrmont NSW 2009, Australia

I love Australia's hot chocolate, although they are from different cafes, and I cannot explain why. The bun with egg and bacon was good too. The lady boss was awesome and super friendly.

In the evening, this breakfast stall convert to an Indonesian Bali style food, which I will recommend later!

Lunch

Cucina Porto

If you're craving for some Italian food, this will be a great option! Located within The Star - which is a casino, the design of the restaurant was rather luxurious in some way.

Their sides are pretty good too; so get more people to join you for lunch so you can order more good food! The calamari was my favourite side dish.

Tea Break

La Renaissance Patisserie and Cafe

La Renaissance Patisserie and Cafe
47 Argyle St, The Rocks NSW 2000, Australia
If you're looking for a nice spot for a tea break, why not visit The Rocks area. There are a lot of small bakeries and I found this cute cafe that has a courtyard dining area. Dessert tasted extra sweet because of the pretty cafe environment.

Dinner

Madame Nhu

If you're looking for some nice Asian comfort food, why not try this vietnamese food!

Madame Nhu Surry Hills
82 Campbell St, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia

The whole restaurant gave a modern hipster vietnamese vibe!

Their Pho contains beef broth... so I didn't get to try it :(

But the side dishes were delicious and came in big portions!

Cafe del Mar Sydney

If you're feeling a little in a mood for nice view, this place will be the best place to catch the harbour at night. There are fireworks display every weekends I believe.

Cafe del Mar Sydney
35 Wheat Rd, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia

I had their set course meal which was really good food.
I usually don't finish my dessert at the end of the course meal; but this was so good that I cannot stop eating :)

KKO KKO Balinese Chicken

Remember about the breakfast store that I mentioned which will convert into an Indonesia cuisine in the evening? This is it, Balinese Chicken!
KKO KKO Balinese Chicken
Shop 1/60 Union St, Pyrmont NSW 2009, Australia

Beware your pocket: The chicken is too good that I had a second serving!

The side dishes was quite authentic Asian food too!
This will be my top recommendation food if you ask me about Sydney :)

Takumi Cafe

If you're having some Japanese cravings... this will be my best recommendation!

Takumi Cafe
209 Harris St, Pyrmont NSW 2009, Australia

I was shocked by the bento; the amount of food and side dishes. The wooden bento gave a very friendly japanese vibe.

I loved the fact that I can pick up my rice easily using chopsticks; this is a very rare sight for Japanese restaurant outside of Asia! Needless to tell you how awesome the taste of the meat and sashimi :)

After Party

Archie Rose Distilling Co.

Archie Rose Distilling Co.
85 Dunning Ave, Rosebery NSW 2018, Australia

Welcome to the world of whiskey~
Disclaimer: I'm not a whiskey person; cocktails are the best and furthest I can handle.

Ordered some side dishes to go with the drinks; the grilled sourdough was superb!

My small cocktail drink~

Vs the main highlight - whisky flight:

The overall vibe was good, comfortable setting for small talks without loud blasting music. If you're a whisky person, definitely something you shouldn't miss out in your sydney trip! Remember to reserve before going!
