[AU; 2023] Hobart City, Tasmania - Stays & Queens Domain
Tasmania, Hobart travels!
This is a post to fit in all my miscellaneous stuffs, follow me to Tasmania again!
Accommodation
I stayed in 2 places this time:
1. The Alabama Hotel
The Alabama Hotel72 Liverpool St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
A cute little hotel located on the busy street - perfect spot for all the shopping and food.
A small room at level 3 (there are no lift - so if you're carrying a big luggage, it is doable but can be rather tiring). Washrooms are shared, best to bring your own slippers to walk about within the hotel.
Loved the cute murals painting in my room:
I managed to keep my luggage in the hotel after checking out, and there is a hotel doggie at the lobby / reception which follows you literally everywhere :)
2. Crowne Plaza Hobart
Crowne Plaza Hobart110 Liverpool St, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
Classy, nice hotel room that you can stay there for the whole day just watching the window view. I got the room with Mt Wellington view, and the rooms on the other side have the sea view.
Sunset view :)
Walk around Queens Domain
Walking along the less crowded area of Hobart:
Government House Tasmania
Because of my work - I was invited to visit the government house!
Government House Tasmania7 Lower Domain Rd, Queens Domain TAS 7000, Australia
It was such a privilege to enter into the house and meet Her Excellency, and had a special tour around the house by Professor Chalmers.
What's really special about the house was - everything they serve to guests are home grown. From the small finger food to wine, everything. It was really special and magical - definitely seize the opportunity to visit if they have open house!
University Rose Gardens
University Rose Gardens61 Brooker Ave, Queens Domain TAS 7000, Australia
It was quite a peaceful walk, winding down the rows and rows of flowers.
The university building looked rather European style to me.
Bridge of Remembrance
Bridge of RemembranceTasman Hwy, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia
Walk along the Rose Garden is the bridge of remembrance. 532 trees are planted along this avenue for the soldiers of the great war.
Sunset looks so peaceful.
Walk further down and you will be able to see the Tasman bridge:
It was a great place to end the day, so calming.
This marks my travel to Hobart for this year!
