[TH; 2023] Day 3 - Khao Yai | Rai Manee Sorn \ PB Valley Winery \ Primo Piazza \ Hokkaido Flower Park

Let's go Day 3! We spent a full day in Khao Yai before driving back to Bangkok city!

1. Breakfast @ The Scandic Khao Yai

The hotel provided a simple breakfast - and they were very nice to extend to our driver too!

The porridge is a must try! It was so good that people like me who doesn't like porridge finished a bowl of it!

2. Rai Manee Sorn

Rai Manee Sorn

It was a massive field of sunflowers - how can you say no to photos! Tip: visit it in the morning. We were the first to arrive, hence we could take photos without getting people in the background.

3. PB Valley Khaoyai Winery

One of the popular places in Khaoyai - PB Winery!

PB Valley Khaoyai Winery

We bought a winery + lunch tour package from Klook: PB Valley Vineyard and Wine Tasting Tour in Khao Yai. It wasn't too expensive like SGD $50/person. Even if you don't join the tour, the place is free to enter and you can take a lot of nice photos too!

Off we go for a tour!

The first stop was an area where you get to experience snipping off grapes from the vines, but you will need to pay for the grapes. We didn't take up the offer, instead we had fun walking down the lanes of grapes and took many nice photos!

Next stop was their production area where there were staff explaining how their wines are made and etc.

Las stop is wine tasting (red & white wine)! If you don't drink wine, you can ask for grape juice!

I'm not an expert of wine - but I travelled a lot to Australia, so I can say that I've sufficient experience tasting wine? In my opinion, their red wine was not that impressive, white wine was surprisingly tasty.

The ride brought us back to the main entrance and lunch was served in the restaurant. We sort of regretted not ordering the Thai menu - it looks more impressive. But the western menu was good too!

4. Primo Piazza

Primo Piazza

It was not a very big place - but if you like to take individual shots, you will probably spend a lot of time here. There are a lot of photo-worthy areas.

All tickets are inclusive of animal feed - so pick up a bunch of leaves near the barn and you can roam around the area to feed the farm animals.

I personally will not recommend this place - the entrance fee was a little high but the CP value was not there. But family with kids will definitely enjoy here with the animals interactions.

5. Thai Elephants Center for Conservation

Thai Elephants Center for Conservation

Our driver slotted in this into our itinerary - he saw us being excited over spotting a wild baby elephant in Khao Yai National Park the day before, so he thought we loved elephants.

Nonetheless - it was still fun trying to feed the elephants with bananas, they were so friendly! I enjoyed this more than the animal feeding at Primo Piazza, and I know the bananas I paid will be going into a good cause.

6. Hokkaido Flower Park Khaoyai

Hokkaido Flower Park Khaoyai
Flowers again! They have sunflowers too - so you can skip Rai Manee Sorn if it is out of the way.

I'm not sure if it really has the Hokkaido vibe - I went once during winter hahaha so spring / summer view I'm not familiar. But it was very well organised and you definitely can find a colour - flower that suits you.

There was a cafe in the middle of the flower field - drinks with a good view!

7. The Chocolate Factory Khao Yai

Our driver was amazing - he squeezed in another itinerary for us before leaving Khao Yai - chocolate!

This place is perfect as a last stop to grab get some small gifts for family & friends!

8. Back to Bangkok - VOQUE Hotel & Serviced Residence

VOQUE Hotel & Serviced Residence Sukhumvit 51
Stayed in this cozy one-bedroom for the rest of our Bangkok trip!

This area is a Japanese town, hence the hotel was a little of Japanese vibe. Super clean and I loved that majority of the electronics are Japanese brands - the toilet bowl has bidet and warmer!

It is a little distance (10 mins quick walk) from the nearest BTS Thong Lor, but they do have shuttle car service (on demand!) and they can drive you either to the BTS or anywhere within 5 mins driving distance.

The hotel has a golf, pool, gym and even sauna! The pool was a good place to catch sunrise~

(photos taken in the next morning :))

As we arrived Bangkok rather late and tired, so we decided to order in from Puponfai ปูพ่นไฟ! It is really easy - add them on LINE, ask for the menu, place your order in the chat, and pay the driver in cash. Everything was done in english.

It was a seafood feast! We really enjoyed all the food, from fried rice to tang hoon! All the crab meats, prawns, squid etc - simply yummy! I would say it is comparable or even better than those Michelin stores. Highly recommended!

Ending off Day 3 with great food!
