[AU; 2026] Part 2 - Melbourne | Sunday in the city!

Australia Long Trip | Part 2 - Melbourne

Day 3

The Hardware Société

I ordered a hot chocolate and the breakfast - the hot choco is definitely one of the best I ever had in Australia! Highly recommend. The breakfast was huge too I couldn't have any more food after that.

We swung by Fitzroy - probably the best place to be at on a Sunday (despite the gloomy weather).
Fitzroy Market
So much pre-loved items, that looks new, mint condition:

We hopped by another market, just a street down:
The Rose Street Artists’ Market
It was super artistic - different vibe from the earlier market:

Fitzroy was always a fun place to take photos with the graffiti - using my sister as a model:

We chanced upon this seasonal Johnston Street Fiesta! It was celebrating Hispanic and Latin American culture with live music, dancing, and various food stalls. Super fun vibes:

We wanted a proper place to seat for lunch, hence we opted to go for a cafe nearby:
Stagger Lee's Fitzroy
They served really yummy avo toast! Avocado definitely tasted different in Australia, it was so subtly sweet and creamy.

We took a short walk around the neighbourhood and saw interesting buildings:

And fun shops:
Hinoki Japanese Pantry

A random record store that has quite a collection of Japanese albums - there were quite a number of record stores in Fitzroy.

It was still the lunar new year period, and we decided we need to visit a local temple to feel the vibe:
Heavenly Queen Temple

It was surprisingly quite a nice place to be at - the temple staff / volunteers were friendly. The whole place was well maintained.

The gold statue of Heavenly Queen!

It was pouring, so we took an uber back to the city, and the must drink - Molly Tea:
Molly Tea (Elizabeth)
My favourite bubble tea all time, and they sold out my favourite drink, so I got something else and it was great too:

We didn't want to get drenched, so we headed into the malls:
Melbourne Central

We were stuck with options for dinner - but we eventually decided to go for the best - Korean bbq~
789 Korean BBQ Bourke Street

Not the best kbbq I ever had - but comfort food for the rainy evening! :')
