[MY; 2025] One night in Johor Bahru!
A quick short trip to Johor Bahru (JB) before the year ends!
Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru JB
We stayed in an Airbnb within the paradigm mall! We loved staying in paradigm mall as it is very convenient to shop and ahead back to the unit within minutes.
This time we tried the durian infront of the mall:
Mari-Mari Durian Paradigm
It was a bit meh - just average durian nothing much raving about.
Since it was a monday night - we went to the KSL night market!
KSL Monday Night Market @ Jalan Seladang
I did some research and the best dropoff point for grab is this hotel: Grand Paragon Hotel, Johor Bahru. It will drop you off at one end of the night market and avoid all the traffic crowd.
We tried this chicken satay and it was yummy! Recommend to grab one bag and munch it while exploring the night market.
There were a couple of oyster omelette stalls, we chose this uncle's stall since there were more people. It was a decent portion with the price paid, pretty good too, just a bit oily.
We also got some braised items from this random truck cart stall - it was rather tough and when we brought it back and re-cooked it, it tasted really delicious. I guess it is not the type of food to have right on the spot.
We also got this prawn fritters which had a long queue - and it wasn't bad. Wished that we got a few more pieces.
We bought a couple more items but they were a big meh, so not featuring them.
Ended the day with a full tummy! And we took grab from Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre to avoid the big crowd at KSL!
