[AU; 2026] Part 5 - Sydney | Darling Harbour & Paddy's Market

Australia Long Trip | Part 5 - Sydney

Day 6

Arrived Sydney in the afternoon - and thankfully we got to check-in right away!
Kith Hotel Darling Harbour

The room was quite tiny for 2 pax, and the layout was rather strange too. But the hotel staff were quite friendly, and we discovered that the room has a heater which came in handy when our shoes were drenched in the rain. If you don't mind small room, and they were reasonably priced, then go for it.

Feeling hungry, we decided to visit Haymarket:
Haymarket Paddy’s Market
Believe or not - this was my first time in the Paddy's Market, and I was totally surprised how reasonably and low priced the souvenir were! We felt like we were scammed in Melbourne. Totally a top choice to shop over there.

The Paddy's market had a small corner for food - but they were so expensive (ironically). We crossed the road and found this chinese stall in the food court:

金陵小吃 Nanjing Gourmet

They were very average dumplings that I think I could do better than them :)

And we spotted a bakery with a long queue for puff:
Emperor's Garden Cakes & Bakery

They were surprisingly nice - it tasted like some old school goodies, perfect for snacking, and it was so reasonably priced at such an expensive city.

After some quick bites, we decided to go for early dinner. Yes, very hungry!
KKO KKO Balinese

Always my favourite restaurant in Sydney - Balinese Chicken! And this time I managed to try the pork ribs - wow they were superb soft and tender.

I told the owner how excited I was to try their food again, and my experience being rejected by ubereats when I tried to order previously... and they gave us a free fried tofu! :') Highly recommended to whoever that is planning to travel to Sydney to give it a try!

We were superb full after dinner, hence we went for a small walk around Pyrmont Bridge:
Pyrmont Bridge
This is probably one of my favourite bridges in Australia. I really love the vibe and night view (day view is nice too). Many buildings were lighting up in rainbows because of the pride month!

Ending the day with a pretty city view!
