[AU; 2026] Part 3 - Melbourne | The famous Great Ocean Road
Australia Long Trip | Part 3 - Melbourne
Day 4
I had been to melbourne like a good number of time, but Great Ocean Road was never on my list, until this trip. We cannot drive, so the best option was to book a day tour, which was easy on klook, we literally booked it 2 days before departure: https://s.klook.com/c/m3DjYgG0wP
The bus pickup was just 2 minute away from our hotel, so we didn't have to wake up superb early and such. You should grab a seat on the left of the bus (when you're facing the front), or right hand side when you're boarding. And we were ready to head off to Great Ocean Road - 12 Apostles + London Bridge!
First stop was a Chocolate shop:

They were pretty generous with their chocolate samples:Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery

They were yummy, and a huge selections of chocolates - we couldn't resist but to buy a couple back. Their marketing strategy worked out well:

Heading towards Lorne Beach
The bus stopped by this arch:

It is now a check-in photo for the great ocean road.Memorial Arch at Eastern View
Beside the arch, there was a small pathway that leads to the Lorne beach - it was so pretty that photos doesn't do any justice.

Before we headed out of Apollo Bay, the bus stopped at some random road for wild Koala sightseeings:
But I was more amazed by the hill view of the random stop:

Where you can spot the Tom & Eva:

I probably took the Lorne beach on the bus too:

Apollo bay for lunch
We had a small break for lunch - I suggest to do some homework beforehand and head straight to the restaurant / cafe. We chose this cafe that serves salmon bagels, fish & chips!
It was a great choice as there wasn't people from the tour group so we were able to get food fast!Little Crumb Bakery

They were super generous with chips and nicely packed them up for us. Everything was yummy and recommend if you're stopping by Apollo Bay area!
A random flower I took before boarding the bus:

Finally, the 12 Apostles

The sun and weather was perfect for the apostles - remember have your sunscreen on!Twelve Apostles Viewpoint

The sea colour was closesr to teal, scenery - everything was quite surreal!
Another great lookout point Loch Ard Gorge

The last stop was the London Bridge

Nothing fanciful with the real london bridge, but it was still amazing:London Bridge

This pretty much wrapped up the day tour - which I think paced just right. Kudos to the driver driving nonstop for hours.
The bus stopped by a gas station which had a lovely countryside vibe:

And sunset was awesome on the way back to the city:

I was craving for some spicy mala food that evening, so we headed over to chinatown:

Trying out the mala recommended by the locals - the range of items was just wow:

We probably filled the pot too much that it was close to AUD50 - wasn't too expensive, comparable to Singapore's pricing.
Happy tummy before bed time. Stay tune for part 4!
