[AU; 2023] A day in Sydney CBD
I'm back with more Sydney, Australia sharing! I basically covered quite a lot of Sydney CBD in my past few trips, so this itinerary was more of a chillax mode, finding things I may have missed out previously.
#1 Check-in Hotel
Veriu Central
I booked my accommodation a little last minute, and I managed to get this place at a reasonable price, just a short working (uphill) distance away from the city.
The receptionist in the morning was awesome, she gave me a room right away in early morning after hearing that I just had a long flight.
It is not the photo angle issue, but the room I was given, the right side flooring was higher than the left. Which is kinda strange. Otherwise it was still alright, just a little bed vibration through the night.
T2 tea bags!
The restroom was just right for one pax!
#2 Breakfast
Basket Brothers
Had a good mini breakfast at this cafe next to the hotel, just a cup of chocolate and it made me feel happy! I love this cafe, so much seats for you to stare into spaces and people watch.
#3 Lunch @ QVB
This building always makes me feel I'm in some European countries :)
Met up a friend for lunch and this place serves really yummy pasta! Highly recommended and the service was pretty good.
#4 A Walk to Art Gallery of New South Wales
Passed by this old church - St Mary's Cathedral!
The entrance of the gallery!
Art Gallery of New South Wales
This gallery is more of a contemporary, modern & indigenous themed, founded in 1871. Here is some artistic display outside the gallery
Took a tea break in the gallery!
Crafted by Matt Moran
There was an on-going hands-on activity available when I visited the gallery:
All I had to do was to chill, do not think of anything, relax and roll the clay into a ball shape...
#5 A walk around Royal Botanic Gardens
There was a lot of people waiting along this place in the garden to catch sunset with Opera house as the background - pretty place! Go early to grab a good spot :)Mrs Macquarie's Chair
#6 BBQ Dinner
Braza Churrascaria
Brazilian meal to end off the day! If you are someone who loves red meat, this will be the perfect place to have dinner.
This wraps up my little day out adventure in Sydney CBD!
