[AU; 2023] Fraser Suites Perth & Heirisson Island
This is my first time to Perth and really excited to share my short trip in a few posts!
Hotel - Fraser Suites Perth
Fraser Suites Perth
I had a super long flight delay, and the room made me feel really comfortable after a long journey.
It is not the cheapest stay in Perth city, don't have much stuffs around it. But the peacefulness was something I appreciate.
There is a gym in the hotel too!
I was too hungry, managed to grab a fish & chips from the lobby restaurant before it closes. Not the best chips, but yummy enough for a long journey.
Heirisson Island
The main highlight I wanted to share in this post is Heirisson Island! I found it on google while looking for something to do nearby the hotel. It is a place you can spot kangaroos for free!
I walked over the island, and it was pretty easy. Just followed google instructions and climb the overhead bridges and etc.
I panicked when I saw this "Island Closed" signage. After that I realised, it was some upgrading works being done at the entrance of the island.
The walk to the gate was pretty nice~
Please read all the instructions before entering!
Cute photos with captions ahead!
I was almost attacked by the mother duck for taking a video of her ducklings. Remember - animals in the island are considered wild, they can be aggressive.
It was spring time! Many pretty flowers but I wasn't sure if they are safe to touch. The colours looked very vibrant,
It will be a perfect spot to take many nice portrait photos.
I've been in the island for 20 minutes and I yet to spot any Kangaroos, so I made friends with a couple walking in-front of me. And they kindly showed me the way to the best place to spot kangaroos.
Within minutes, we founded a few kangaroos!!! Lucky find!
Cute birds hanging around the kangaroos
I highly suspect it was the same group of ducks that tried to attack me XD
This was my small adventure to Heirisson Island! I hope you will like the place as much as me- kangaroo spotting :)
