[AU; 2025] Adelaide City in a nutshell

Consolidating all my Adelaide city photos in a post!

Hotel

ibis Adelaide

My second time staying in Ibis Adelaide - the staff were still so friendly and help me to get early check-in without additional cost. Really loved my stay in that lovely hotel.

Food

The Coffee Nook

The Coffee Nook

Found a cute cafe right opposite Ibis Hotel that serves food next to a bus stop. The staff were very friendly too. The toast was quite yummy - recommend to give a try together with their hot beverage!

Mandoo

Mandoo

This Korean restaurant was quite highly recommended - we ordered the steam and fried mandu, together with some udon. The food was served warm, so the mandu were juicy. Just to set expectations - it wasn't the best mandu I had ever, if you're just looking for something causal, this is a good place.

Sushi Hub Rundle Square

Sushi Hub Rundle Square
Grabbed some sushi as takeaway and I'm surprised that Sushi Hub had decent sushi. The avocado salmon roll was good, just slightly cold.

The Hotpot Guy 9號火锅

The Hotpot Guy 9號火锅

Booked this hotpot place for dinner - extensive menu with a topping / snack bar. We got individual pots and it worked out perfectly since everyone wanted a different base. I would say the price was slightly more expensive compared to Singapore with the same quality.

The Griffins Hotel

The Griffins Hotel
We went for a group dinner on a Friday and as expected the venue was super overwhelmed. I was lucky that my food was perfectly cooked. The prices were quite pocket friendly and the staff did their best to manage different situations. If you need some decent western meal, good place to pop by.

Junipers on the Marina

Junipers on the Marina

Saving the last place for the best - Junipers at Glenelg Beach was probably the best dinner decision ever. We had a perfect sunset view, the food served at the restaurant was good and the vibe was great (we went during the weekday so it wasn't crowded). Highly recommended for a good chill out place in Adelaide!

Places to Explore

As I did quite a fair bit of sightseeing in Adelaide city previously: [AU; 2022] Adelaide City - 1 Day Itinerary Just a few places to add for the city - technically I just wander off without using the map.

Walked toward the Torrens River direction and spent some time staring at the river. Probably somewhere here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/5zhgsGhawJkEvipK6

I would say the Torrens River was a great place to just unwind, it was so peaceful and quiet. Would recommend if you need some escape from the city.

One of the evenings, I ended up at the east end of Adelaide city and it was very vibrant filled with bars. Recommend if you're into wines and beverages, it looks really a safe place to chill. This street is probably here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/5zhgsGhawJkEvipK6

This wraps up my trip within the Adelaide City!
