[ID; 2022] Batam Day 2

Batam Day 2

R&R to the maximum! Woke up rather late but made it in time for hotel breakfast - almost all food was gone. Lesson learnt.

1. Shopping & Lunch

Started off our day heading to a shopping mall!

Grand Batam Mall

There was so much to see, shop and eat over there - quite spoilt for choices!

Hong Tang
We decided to go for desserts before lunch - strange sequence of meals but yes we did!

It was toooo sweet for me - it really think Singapore has well trained our sugar tolerance to be rather low. But very instagrammable place!

Duck Kitchen
Although the service was slow, food also appeared slow... but I would really recommend their duck dishes. It was so yummy that I couldn't stop eating!

2. Massage

After some rounds around the mall, we decided we need some break aka massage time. Google showed us a place with quite high rating and I recognised the brand instantly as I stayed in their hotel the previous trip: [ID; 2018] BATAM GETAWAY

Eska Wellness Spa Grand Batam Penuin
They were a little hard selling the massage package, but once you are determined to say no, they respected it. So it wasn't that bad.

It was a relaxing 1-2 hour massage (Aromatherapy Touch Massage - Traditional Javanese Essential Oil), I could feel that the masseuse really gave in her 100% dedication to this task. So I ended up having a lot of blue-blacks around my body after the massage.

I'm unsure whether I would want to return back, but I did enjoy the whole process. Probably next time to tell the masseuse to put in 80% effort will do.

3. Dinner - Seafood

Wey Wey Palace
We decided to go for a good seafood meal and was recommended by peers to try these:

And we went during weekdays plus raining day hence we had a table with some view of the sea.

Every dish was awesome! The seafood meal was so cheap that we were doubting, cannot remember the exact price but probably SGD$50 odd for so much dishes for 2!

4. After Party

Recommended by all the social media, another place for real drinks. Rooftop of Marriott, just walkable distance from the seafood place.
Batam Marriott Hotel Harbour Bay
Atas hotel with atas rooftop.

Drink prices were quite on par with Singapore pricing.

Cheers to end the night!
